Do I look ridiculously big?

[ QUOTE ]
I don't think you are too big for her, but something looks a bit odd in the photos. It looks as if you are sitting right on the pommel of the saddle, you look rather far forward as if maybe the saddle is right up on her shoulder. If you look a bit too tall it's just cosmetic in my opinion, weightwise there's nothing of you, so I can't see a problem. Wouldn't do too much jumping for a while yet though, as she's only rising 4.

I think both of the photographs were taken in trot and I was either almost sitting or just beginning to rise as they were take, hence looking to forward in the saddle, I thought it looked odd too until I realised

We're popping some little cross poles at the moment but she doesn't seem to be a keen jumper anyway so I'm not pushing her

I I think that, as long as the horse can carry you happily for the activity you are choosing to do and that you are comfortable riding her........bollocks to what anyone else thinks.

I agree!

I'm also a 'pony squisher'. 5ft 8" and a fair bit heavier than you on a slightly scrawny 14.3hh.

I've also suffered a fair bit of stick for riding one so small over the years, and have the same attitude as the person above

Me and my Rosie (bottom left in my siggie) are having the time of our lives. And youngster (middle pic in siggie) is also a small one.

I love M&M's.
