OK, numpty question alert .... horse is going away on loan next week and before she goes she is being shod for the last time by my farrier on Tuesday.

Is there any likelihood that she could need studs in the next 6 weeks, as my feeling is that you wouldn't use them at this time of year ... but I don't know if people put them in if it has rained on hard ground for example? She will be doing PC and eventing.

Sorry if this is a really dense question

You could ring them and check, I would use studs most times on grass (hard ground + rain = greasy concrete!) and even if they are not competing they may be training on grass with PC. I would rather have the holes and not use them than be skating around wishing I had studs!
