Harvey is 11 weeks old and I just subjected him to having his paws trimmed. I don't like Spaniel paws to look too fluffy as they attract mud. I like nice tidy paws.

All four have been trimmed. Shall I give him the number to the RSPCA?

Not at all. Otto doesn't really need his paws trimmed, but I did when we first got them, because if I ever needed to I wanted him to be ok with it. He lies on his back with all four paws in the air to be inspected now

I very nearly had a Springer because they have less coat than Cockers. I decided against it due to them having a higher drive, largely because they'll all working Springers around our way.

I guess it's good that he gets used to things early. He did try to chew the scissors a few times, bless him, but was very good. Not remotely upset by it. I trimmed them ready for the vet on Saturday. He's having his claws clipped as well as his second jab. With the hair cut back a bit it's easier to see the claws now.

They look very neat now!

LOL...he certainly does get woolly! He grows alot of coat, just like Jasper used to. I think Harvey is going to have a really "good" coat too.

It's the feet...I can't abide those fluffy, snow shoe type feet. I did refrain from cutting the fluffy bits at the top of his ears off though.......for the time being!

Nah, the sooner you start the better! We nipped off the ends of Rubys claws last week. Bless her she just lay on her back and went to sleep!
