Do I want another pony?

Aww... Look at the eye shadow and crispy edge ears!

and the frosting in his mane! Hes really well bred and was supposed to be a standing stallion, but it all fell through at the last minute about this time last year. His breeder was running him on, but her lifes changed dramatically so shes giving up for a little while, just as I happened to be feeling rich and a bit bored. A lethal combination!

I was going to send him off to my friend for the winter to live with her foal, but thats just fallen through. I'm going to bring him to the yard where Bobs is. Hes going out with some other youngsters and then in overnight till it stops raining! Which seems like a good compromise. Hes with me, but still gets to be out a lot and has some young company. Bobbie is a horrible slapper and is out with a gelding who must be gay as he just walks away in disgust when she starts reversing back into him and squirting. Shes awful! So later down the line we might see, but I dont want my horrible slapper mare corrupting my lovely young pony!

Braveheart of Loveloch more commonly known as William! His mum is by Stirlingdene and his sire is a HPS premium stallion, Glenbanchor Gillebrighde. I dont know much about highland breeding, but I do know hes a combination of two good bloodlines and a lot of thought went into creating him. Then my friend drove the mare to Aberdeen and back, from near Northampton as she wanted to use that particular stallion, and has gone back again this year as she was so happy with the result.

If he turns out like mum and dad I will be more than happy! This is dad

that pony has landed on his feet being took in by you! will be properly looked after and no doubt want for nothing! happy for you

Very exciting for you! And what fabulous breeding. My friend owns a Glenbanchor pony and he is a real super star who will turn his hoof to anything. I hope William turns out to be just as special!

He is so cute!

I dont know much about Highlands but the "dene" stud was local to me.and I know people with Scot McGregor's horses. All the ones that I've known have been successful in the show ring and awesome all rounders doing WH and XC etc

What's your boys stable name?

He is lovely and beautifully bred. If I was 20 years younger I would have been interested in his mum but getting too old for breeding ponies again. How big is he now as he looks about the same size as Kitten and I am hoping she will make 14hh but not sure yet. As to the Irish Vet I am inclined to agree youngsters keep you going

That stallion is a real stunner. Lets hope you get a similar stamp with the baby pony! Very best of luck for you and him. x
