Do leather boots give?

On my quest to find waterproof wellies/long boots I went into a shop today I had never been in before and there facing me were these:

Sherwood Forest Savannah river boots. What are they like? Any good? They were £135 in the shop reduced down and down to eventually £75 They are digging in slightly at the front part where the leg meets the foot, just in front the ankle, kind of all around the ankle really but mainly at the front. Will this leather give?

link won't work so can't see them

if there is no stitching / double leather around the ankle the leather will give a little but if they are really tight get some shoe stretcher spray & an expandable boot tree. Works wonders

oops sorry try this! I SO HOPE they are waterproof and last!!!! They arent really tight but just a bit. Its where the leather meets the suede at the front.
