I can see why new people would be a bit intimidated esp if they were used to other more polite less opinionated forums.
In general I think this is a friendly forum but there are certain users who seem to take on a pack mentality at times and only blood will satisfy them. I wouldn't recommend getting on the wrong side of these poster as from then on no matter what you post it will be manipulated into something evil.
