Do people buy second hand, used rubber matting?

Have any of you sold rubber matting before on ebay? I've got some for sale but they are obviously used. (and smelly!)

Do people expect to pay pennies for them? And how did you courier/transport them. Or do you put pick up only?
I'm just wondering if its worth paying the fee to list.

I just sold a 12x12 stable worth - £50 - buyer collects and cleans!
You wouldn't want to ship used rubber mats, they are more the sort of thing you would advertise locally

Yes they do! I have no idea about ebay sales but have seen them go quite high at auctions. I have even oddly enough seen them sell higher at an auction than you can get them new

My guess for ebay would be that you sell them for local pick up only or specify the area that you will deliver to. Thinking of shipping them woudl be ridiculous I would think

Thanks both, I think I'll try and list them on ebay but put something like 'buyer to collect' in the advert. I'll wash them, though.

Would you insist on payment first before collection? or cash on collection? i'm thinking i might get messed around if it was cash on coll? is it unfair to ask for payment beforehand?

If you sell them on ebay i would suggest cash on collection - if someone pays by paypal and you can't prove delivery with a Royal Mail tracking number, they can do an INR and get their money back. Even if they picked the item up. Madness, which is why i didn't bother listing my tack pack on there

Shame you're not closer - i would like to get a few more mats, but i'm just on the Shropshire/Powys borders

Yes! I sold mine on EBAY, I stated that it was used and would need a clean, I also listed it as collection only.

If i could get my hands on some, I'd snap it up ! scrub it to within an inch of it's life, and that'd be it - hey presto. I've been looking for a while now.

I brough some the other day, my stable are odd shapes and had just brought some new matting very very cheap of ebay and wanted some extra bits that i did not mind cutting up, paid cash on collection
