im missing not having a horse and have been looking for a riding school just so i dont stop riding all together.

but at £20-£30 a lesson im thinking if i could loan a horse maybe 2 days a week would it be about the same?? i dont know anyone that has ever advertised for a part loan. they always seem to just come along!

are their people out there that need a horse excersised a few days a week? or am i just living in a dream world!!

Yes, although they tend to call it 'sharing'. Suggest you put up an advertisement in your local tackshop/feed store as a potential sharer with an honest assessment of what you think you coupd cope with in terms of expereince and time you have available

Yes, i have a sharer at the moment! There are quite a few websites where you could put up a ''wanted'' ad as well as having a browse through. I put an advert on and i had lots of response! I tend to find that it's the people that don't want to pay for the riding school lessons as they r too expensive hence they look for a part-loan but i find that people that haven't had horses before that take on a part-loan do not realise the hard work that horses actually involve! I've had many young girls interested but all they want to do is ride and then go home!! i'm not saying you'd be like that, just wanted a rant i guess

i know what u mean horsey_gal!! i know the work involved iv had many horses since i was 4 so not afriad of getting my hands dirty.

ill have to have a drive around and see if i can find any local tack shops.

just from my own experience when iv tried to get a sharer for my horse years ago, iv always had friends or friends of friends. just assumed its how everyone does it, and dont actually go outside to look for someone.

thanks
