My horse suffers from bog spavins and I'm always looking on the market for products to help her but with so many joint supplements out there it is hard to know what really works and what doesn't.I have her on cosequin and devils claw at the moment which seems to work well but I still feel it's worth looking around with so much out there. What works for you?

While researching I have come across maxavita and permanax equine.Their products sound revoloutionary but I don't know many people who use them.Do any of you?Do they really work?
Any feed back would be much apprecaited <font color="purple">

Pernamax Equine is a product made by Maxavita. I use it on my horse who suffers from mild to moderate arthritis and is is very effective. It is a natural anti-inflammatory and if you use Devil's Claw you may find you can use this instead and it will be less harsh on the stomach.

Having said that I have no experience of bog spavins. One thing I can say about Pernamax though is if it is going to work you will be able to tell within days, not months. It doesn't cure anything but it is effective at relieving arthritic discomfort.

I use NAF Superflex and have found it brilliant. Its been great for keeping my veterans mobile and also amazingly has solved one of my horses cold back! he was cold backed for 2 years and after about 6 weeks on it he was no longer. No idea how it worked...!

Newmarket joint supplement was recommended to me for arthritis by vet and lots of people on this forum.

Thanks very much for all your advice so far.has been really helpful and given me a good insight.I have heard mention of devils claw having long term side effects.I wondered what these included and if anyone has experienced any of these?
Any feedback must appreciated
