Currently spending hours(OH complaining I sit on laptop)!!

I am thinking of putting a wanted ad in specifying my requirements/looking for etc

Has anyone had any success as I am fed up contacting owners who either are Vague or avoid my direct questioning/ask me to ring someone else/ when I ask if its 110% traffic as advertised turns out they live on a hill somewhere remote with no roads! urghhhhh!

Am looking at a horse soon but am amazed at on further questioning another angle unfolds.
So time consuming. Am going to ask in local horse shops(have asked one to keep an eye out)!

So do wanted ads work? Good or bad experiences please to help me decide!

Thank you

A lady on our yard lost her young horse last year and was looking for a horse not too expensive but reliable, well behaved etc. She put an ad in a local paper and she got a reply. She now has a beautiful well mannered horse sold to a good home for a quater of his value price. So yes wanted adverts do work maybe its how you word them.

Thanks very much, I will go and see the horse I have agreed to see tommorow. If its a waste of time I will put a couple of local ads up in Wanted first.

I just didnt want to bombarded with a lot of high pressured sales people etc

But some success stories thats good

My mum was selling a horse a few years ago, and replied to a wanted ad (lady was very specific in what she wanted)- turns out our horse was exactly what she had been looking for for months and months- she was over the moon!!!

So yes, they can work!! :):)

(in fact I'm pretty sure she took him to France with her too!!)
