Do you adjust feed amounts in winter and summer?

no, but year round they only get small feeds - a small cup of mash, balancer, sprinkle of chaff and a couple of supplements each.

in summer however if they don’t come to the gate for their breakfast/tea, i tell them to suit themselves and just chuck it in the next one🤣 again as they’re only piddly feeds its not too much in one go

Mine just get a token feed in summer (handful of chaff/ balancer) The ridden Connie gets a bigger bucket feed if she begins to drop condition as she works quite hard when weather's decent. At the moment there's very little grass so they're both on 2 to 3 small feeds a day of fast fibre/chaff to keep them full, plus ad lib hay overnight. I usually play it by ear and increase/decrease depending on how they look. Retired standie gets smaller portions! 😉

The only thing that changes in my feed from winter to summer is that he doesn’t get his mush. He only gets water added to the feed in summer.

Everything else stays the same.
