Of course! Rain, hail, fog (all with masses of hi-vis ) I don't enjoy it particularly, but I think it's important for the horses to get out and about in all sort for spook-proofing reasons My RI tells me to school and jump occasionally if the school has flooded because he's seen horses be totally thrown by puddles in arenas at competitions The wind and fog can be pretty spooky, so that helps too
Plus if I didn't ride in all weathers the horses wouldn't be very fit; I'd never ride!!!
I rode out in the 1987 hurricane - you know the one that wasn't a hurricane!
I've long been an adherant to the adage :- there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes. So I bought a full length Drizabone riding coat - used to get some water down the neck in really hard rain when wearing jockey cap on board but in the yard a Bush Ranger's hat completes the turnout - but I used to be banished to the utility room when returning home reeking of Barbour oil and horse sweat. I miss that so much! The smell of horse sweat I mean - I'm still banished quite regularly!
I do as long as it isn't chucking it down - she is fine in the rain she just hates wind sometimes haha. I don't mind it, as long as its bearable rain haha.
