...how you look when you go to the yard? I like to look clean and tidy,I even iron jeans and tops(which cracks up my OH as I'm only going to the yard) and everything has to be clean and matching, even my jods and jacket, and my horse's saddle cloth should match!!!(Yeah... sad I know!).......my mate the other day turned up in her Pyjamas now that's extreme!(Confession- have worn mine while checking a horse late at night!

).....Do you care what you look like or does it matter!

I'm afraid when going to the yard I look like a tramp. I just wear jods (not always very clean) and whatever jumpers/sweatshirts have moved from my normal wardrode due to stains, rips, etc

Nope! Frequently seen in my pj's or a skirt and heals depending on the time of day! Whats worse is I don't particularly care how I look if I go somewhere straight after going up the yard

Haha i look like a tramp too! Wear jods most times although don't have 6 pairs so tend to wear one pair for 2 days... and have a variety of old sweatshirts, jumpers and t-shirts in various colours and sizes most that either belonged to my mother or my dad so yes i always look very trendy!

Not really, will only buy stuff that looks ok (and is cheap!) but then don't tend to really think about it. Im a full time groom as well as have my own horse so that don't care is all day every day!!!!

lol.... couldnt care less I'm afraid!!

Look tidy and coordinated if going to work or a client after but otherwise any scruffs! Must admit i try not to clash jods and tops but as for ironing???!!! Mum bought me an iron 2.5 years ago when bought house and never been out of box! So hardly gonna bother for yard!! te he

Absolutely! Don't have time or organisation skills to do look pretty...I do make sure I have clean face and brushed hair tho - not sure why as I end up covered in mud/dust by the time I go home. OH always sends me off to the shower as I smell of horse-wee!

Will have to start turning out horsey on the way to work soon til we move yards. That will be the only time I look smart - although not sure skirt and wellies is such a great look!

Nope!
If I'm going to a show, I may try and co-ordinate. But TBH everything gets flithy anyway, and turns a similar shade

.
I tend to wear jeans, and a hoodie, and my big puffa or a gilet. My PJ's are a familar item to many on the yard too!

I usually look like a tramp too. Mucky jods and really old t-shirts and jumpers with holes in ! I also have an iron thats still in the box :-)

I go for the trampy look lol. I'm almost always the only one up though, and its always dark! I never wear jodpurs, just comfy jogging bottoms, about 10 jumpers and my wellies. Oh and my balaclava, ear warmers and head torch lol

I look like an uncoordinated FREAK ! !! ! ! ! it's always embaressing if anyone is with me and I have to pop to the shop as I then realise how bad I look
blush.gif

Unfortunately I am not an ironing person so it is very rare the iron actually makes an appearance, hmmm I wonder, how much do you love your iron I could hold it to ransom
grin.gif

I dont wear jods unless I'm competing, teaching or riding for a client. I generally go up the yard and ride in jeans, scruffy jumpers and my harry hall cap which I've had for 9 years!!!

Always look reasonalby co-ordinated and make a pair of johds do twice - but iron? whats that? If it don't go in the tumble dryer, then I don't buy it!

Oh and generally go down in a morning in suit and heels to chuck her out, so look v.smart! Unless I get splattered in mud! lol

Oh AmyMay I feel normal now thought it was abnormal wearing clean clothes and ironed......but ,do see the point of the others as always come back with the contents of my cob's mouth after his dinner all over me!

My yard is a whole 10steps from my front door. I party a lot and I am usually a sleep deprived person, when I have to get up at ungodly hours on Saturdays and Sundays to feed and plait my horses the last thing on my mind is what I look like
smile.gif

Have own stables so regularly turn up in jammies at 6am on a weekday!

Like to look smartish if riding though. I will occasionally ride in jeans, but hate seeing people ride in tracksuits/trainers/wellies. Apart from anything else it is dangerous.

I have been down in the morning in a ball dress on a couple of occasions having not made it to bed! Mine looks me up and down as if to say "You stop out... spose I best behave today looking at the state of you!"

Think thats the most effort I've made! Do try and look smart for comps but that takes up all of my smartness/cleanliness energy for the rest of the week!

to do the horse @ 6am in the morning, i wear the same outfit for each work day - it's only one for 30 mins and at that time in the morning i'm usually there on my own.

on w/ends to ride, and probably spend the day in my riding gear, i am not obsessed by try to match - saying htat i may wear the same combo both days (changing undies obvoiulsy

Oh absolutely - don't we all?

Just can't bear putting dirty clothes on. They're off and in the wash.

You should meet up with my boyfriends gran then! Think she sees me as the GF from hell as I dont iron my clothes so refuse to iron his! He takes shirts to her to be ironed before night out!

Think you'd be appauled at our wardrobe !!!
