If so, would you like to be added onto the listing I am compiling on my new website ?

I started building a listing of clipping service providers a few years ago on my old website, but it was very difficult for me to edit, so it never got that far with me chasing everything else :(

Anyhow, the new one is a lot easier to play with, so I'm starting a listing again and the link for clipping service providers is on my websites homepage which gets a few hits in clipping season, so should get some through traffic :).

I've got a few people on there already, and they have got their own Facebook page which I've linked into, and that gives them control over their contact info, area coverage, prices yada yada etc HERE - take a look at the linked ones on FB to see how they have set theirs up.

If you are interested, I need a link to a website or FB page if you already have it, Area covered, Text and Tel number and/or email addy - oh, and a name. It's nice to have a name when you ring someone ;)

I've also got a clipping article going into one or two mags in a couple of weeks as well so the site should get busy with that. It is only a few weeks until the clipping season kicks off, so let me know sooner rather than later if you want to be added please.

Thanks in advance Ash :)

Just to bump this up the listing. I've added a couple more names of people who offer clipping services and want to go on the listing page. My website does get a lot of hits during clipping season so I would expect the service providers on it to get a bit of free and targetted advertising.

Take a look at it the page link at the top of this thread and PM me here if interested so I can get you added. Clipping season is only a few weeks away now so I want to get this well populated before I get busy myself

Thanks Ash :)

I do clipping for other people on my yard, friends etc, would love to do a bit more though. However I have only had a little bit of formal training and then just picked it up as I've gone along, not sure if I'd be good enough to do it for strangers, although everyone says I do a good job! Do people who offer this kind of service tend to have formal qualifications, do you think? I haven't got facebook, so is it possible for me to go on your listing page if I decide to give it a go? Sorry, I'm useless with computers!

If it is is something you are already doing for other people and they are happy with the results, and want to develop it into something more, you are already half way there.

Whilst they do teach clipping in the colleges, it isn't rocket science, and I personally feel that enough time on the job, an eye and attention to detail, can teach you pretty much all you need to know you also have to be comfortable with the prospect of getting hair clippings in unspeakable places (so I've been told)
The more you do, the quicker you will get, and that will ultimately give you a decent rate for your efforts.

Ponyfeet10 on here (my daughter) only had brief training with the clippers when a student @ Hartpury College, but TBH, before that, she studied the books, picked up a pair of clippers and got on with it (when she was 15). I couldn't have developed the clipping stencils without her help and she has done the majority of the stencil clipping (including the clipping in THIS fairly famous picture as a promo for the stencils)

The Facebook thing BTW is really very good. It will allow you to quickly built up a network of contacts, create a business page with a user friendly URL which in itself is easy to build and can be viewed by people without a Facebook account, add pics of your handywork and price listing etc etc.

I'm happy to add you to the listing, if you can PM me this format:-

Business name - (or your name) - Based in and/or Area covered ( & reasonable mileage charge beyond this ???? )
Text or Tel: 01234 567890 - Contact name
Email address: You@yours.com
