Do you come from a 'horsey' background?

If YES to Q1 - how many foals have you bred?

In a word no! I only ride because we happened to have horsey neighbours on our suburban cul-de-sac!!!

Neither of my parents really got it, but they paid for riding lessons for me and my sister after I outgrew the neighbours shetland and continued to pay for them until we were 16 despite threats to stop each time the price went up.

Never let me have my own pony though and were never very interested. My mum refused to watch us ride as it scared her and used to sit in the car with her book while we rode, or would leave us at the stables for the day and collect us later. I was quite envious of the girl with the pushy mother who got shouted at from ringside and bought a jumping pony that terrified her.........

They are redeeming themselves somewhat now though, they watch my nephew's lessons and come to the occasional show. Though jumping still frightens my mum, and they think dressage is boring. My mum has been encouraging me to buy my own recently and is taking an interest in what I'm looking at.

Hubby's family aren't at all horsey either, he used to watch the kids from the local riding school ride past his house (I wasone of them!) and wish he could ride. He had his first lesson at 26 and knew nobody who knew anything about horses!

No. Same as Jeanette, same neck of the woods as well. Parents were so class bound they didn't even approve of having a good education.
Just look at me now. HA HA HA
