So does any one warm up then??

No i have never warmed up. I probably should though as yesterday I went to docs about my wrist and he thinks i have tendonitis in my wrist, Possibly arthritis

I didn't used to, but because at the moment I can't ride every day I find I'm much more effective if I've done some kind of exercise first. Especially if schooling - otherwise I spend the first twenty minutes reminding my muscles and hip joints that they're supposed to move. Crikey, I sound old - I'm only 30 but it's definitely true! Can't say I'd ever limber up before mucking out, though...!

yeah, i do stretches, and lunges and a bit of running on the spot before mucking out. Then I do a strict warm down, with 15 minutes on the stationary bike and a cuppa tea.

Little stretch before and smaller barrow (more trips but less straining tipping it onto the heap). Plus ballet the same day later on. Only necessary for mucking out. For just riding I'm fine if I stretch inner-thighs (think what you like!) out afterwards as all other bits are used regularly for non-riding things too.
