Do you ever ~~ Catch ~~ your horse .....

Poutu in the summer regularly "sunbathes". I have been seen in the field flapping and shouting at her to get up

If I have time though I have been known to get down and have a nap with her. Longest nap we have had is half an hour

At my last yard they thought she was dying. She sprawls out, legs all over the place and had her head in a pile of poo

She also makes very deep heavy breathing noises

On this morning the girl that was first up looked into Poutu to give her her breakfast (Poutu didn't move). The girl then went up to Poutu who lifed her head, grunted and flopped her head back down into the pile of poo. The girl was on the verge of ringing me to tell me my horse was dying. Poutu likes to play that game though, she has done it to several people since

often ! since i changed her from shavings to straw she lays down alot. she lets me go in for a cuddle and i sit down with her for a chat, its nice as shes not very affectionate sometimes.
its funny, when i go in to the barn of an evening after work her little face is usually over the door to greet - a few times ive wondered where an earth she is then got to the door and she is all snuggled up.

He got up when I went closer lol, sometimes he'll let me sit on him. Only seen him lying in the stable once, went down at 5am, turned his light on and he gave me the filthiest look!!

My 3 year old lies down a lot. I can tell as, when she is in, she is covered is s"!t in the mornings.

I don't often see her lying down. Only twice in fact. Once after a Reki session and once in the field.

My boy, I have only see once and that was in the field. Managed to get a photo too!

All the time. I frequently go and sit on him and have a cuddle out in the field, he's a big sook.

I am often to be found sitting down in the field with the foals head on my lap as she rests, bit difficult to take photos of that though.

My present boy lies down a lot in the field and every night in his stable but, he always gets up if I approach him. I used to own a mare that stayed lying down in the field if I went near her and I would sit on her to get up ( I was a lot younger then). She was just so chilled.
