Do you ever dream about horses?

I dont tend to remember dreams. I either dont have them, or their not important enough to remember.

But I have had 3 dreams about Roo recently (2 in one night, sort of one dream but completely different things :S )

First one, she was in an indoor barn but her stable didnt have a roof, it broke. And there was no spare stable to put her in. So I spent a lot of time walking round this yard trying to sort out a roof :S LOL

And then the 2 I had in one night the other night. She got out of her stable and was running around the yard and I couldnt catch her. And then me, mum and dad were going away, but hadnt booked anywhere for her to stay. So I was fretting about her accomodation. And we were trying to work out how to tow the caravan and the trailer at the same time.

Anyway, I just wondered if anyone else remembered any dreams about horses
 
when I was a kid I had a dream about a grey horse. I had this dream four or five times with the same horse but in different situations. I still do not no of this horse and probley never will. it was so weird as I would go on and on about the fleabitten grey tb type.!
 
when im stressed i have dreams about taz breaking his leg :( happens every time and it can go everyday for weeks :(

other than that i tend to have random dreams about rio learning how to open the gate :o and them letting taz out too... also have dreams about missy galloping around and then slipping over in the mud... okay im a weirdo!!
 
I had a dream the other day that my horse was ill so I had to move her to this livery farm type place. Then I forgot to feed her on my way home, and I woke up in the night genuinely believeing this and almost googled the farm name in my phone to ring them. Weird!!
 
Two nights ago I dreamt there was a show-jumping competition at the yard where I used to ride.
Odd as mine was very strictly flatwork only, with no real facilities for jumping.

I woke up and didn't think about it, forgot about it until in the evening my OH goes:

"Oh yeah, who's Milton?"
"Huh?"
"Milton? I assume he's one of your horsey friends only you've never mentioned him before."
"What are you talking about?"
"Last night you were clearly dreaming of horses. You woke me up mumbling that you couldn't jump Milton. That you'd never jumped a 1m10 fence before. But you didn't want to let him down."
 
I have a recurring dream of riding an unknown horse around woodlands - but each time I dream I remember my way through the woods like I'm building up a map of them in my dreams - but when I'm awake I can't picture any of it. In the dream I'm often doing little jumps over logs and the sensation feels really real.

I use to dream about my old boys field flooding really badly and falling to pieces - or lions being in the field!
 
When I was young and wishing for my own pony every day, I used to dream that I would be riding a beautiful horse in the field behind my grandparents house and it would transform into a giant teddy bear under me and I would be kicking and kicking trying to make it move :D

The other night I dreamt I told my OH that I was going to do my horses bed, and when I opened the stable door there was a proper double bed with a quilt and everything with shavings all over it - analyse that :D
 
i do! i had a dream that i won the grand national (its obviously meant to be!)
and that i was galloping across the beach on one of the racehorses i look after whos currently on box rest (love him to bits thatd be fab)
 
in august time i dreamt that the horse i was sharing came up for sale but was unaffordable at £3000 :( a month later and he was mine!! (in real life!) wasnt planning on buying a horse but couldnt let him go to a dealer to be sold on and on. Its very strange how it all happened.. like to think of it as a premonition lol :)
 
Yes, loads. Sometimes they are really life like, action replays of things I have done, good & bad, or things that have happened or I fear will happen. The two most important ones;
When I was about 12, my friends & I used to dare each other to jump this 5bar gate out hacking. One pony I rode a lot was more than capable, but the fact it was fixed, & bigger than I did usually put me off. One night I had a dream about jumping the gate, & it felt brilliant & very life like. So much so I asked my friends whether or not I'd jumped it the day before. Because of that dream, I did jump it at the next opportunity, & it definitely woke up my love of jumping big things.
I had a dream a few months ago about my now 23yr old, when she was in her prime. Although it was nice seeing the young her again, it was quite upsetting. Because until then, I'd not really thought about the fact she isn't young anymore, & won't be around forever. Because she's healthy, I'd never seriously thought about the fact she is actually getting on. Health scares or injury I can deal with, but the reality of my silly youngster being one day too old to enjoy life scares the life out of me.
 
I had a dream the other day that I turned up at the yard where I ride and the lady who owns the horses said she had clipped them all. I looked in the stables and stood in each stable was a completely bald shivering whimpering horse, it was quite funny :D skin head ponies
 
I dreamt last night Fergs hd been kicked and fractured his leg again and I had to have him shot. I woke up crying :(
 
Yes a lot .
I have can't find things and I have lost things dreams I am at a show with no girth etc etc .
And I have fantastic riding dreams where I am working horses usually on the flat they are just the best often I am riding the half pass in these dreams with perfect bend and and positioning they are incredibly vivid and very very nice, always on my own horses not imaginary ones.
 
After my pony had to be PTS I dreamt my other pony needed to be shot, I remember have a totally breakdown, screaming it wasn't fair, woke up in floods of tears and it took me a while to remember that my pony hasn't actually been shot and was still here :o
 
I do too when I am stressed, I had a horrible recurring one where I was in an aircraft hangar with my old loan horse who I was sending back as he threw me off, and his owner was there with a vet lining up horses to put down and I was trying to save him! It was horrid, she might not be that keen on him but she wouldn't go that far! I think I naively saw him as something that needed saving so I felt guilty even though he is clearly fine being a field ornament now!
 
Sometimes ... and then I wake up and realise that the neighing and thundering hooves are actually outside my window and that I need to drag yself out of my lovely warm pit to check that there are no escapees :mad:
 
A couple of weeks after my mare died last year, I had the most vivid dream of her being at Stockland Lovell (I had wanted to take her to RC camp there but never got to) and galloping around the fields. They were full of lush green grass and she was galloping round with her pony friend and the pony I had before her, jumping the hedge between the two fields. She then settled down to eat.

I think that was my mind's way of putting the whole saga to rest, as I haven't cried over her since then. That was just it, and I started to move on.

I used to have regular nightmares about fires at my old work place and having to try to turf all the horses out to the fields without them killing each other - they are on individual turnout and would probably have far too much fun if that happened! Then I had to get the stallion to his stallion pen while all the others galloped round like loonies... Thank god it never happened to me in real life!

I've recently had dreams about the new boy as he's being a turd at the moment and it's stressing me out. Last night was a nice change, having a massive red spider chasing me instead of me chasing Denys across vast fields..!
 
Yes. i dream about horses alot!:D
but after a day or two, i forget about them!

i remember on of my dreams was, i was on the beach, and this gypsy vanner horse came over to me and he had like the longest mane ever and i got on him and we rode somewhere but i cant remember where.

another one of my dreams was that i woke up and this woman made me ride this 16hh fleabitten grey tb called velvet pride:D
i acc think the name velvet pride is great for a racehorse!
if i got to name a racehorse, i would definetely call it that!

OKay okay okay...who has spent too much of their youth crying over National / Innternational Velvet??! :D:D
 
I dreamt the other night that I took my boy to work with me then realized when I got there that he couldn't come in the office with me (why thought it was a good idea in the first place who knows but it was a dream I suppose lol) then had to beg the farmer down the road to keep my boy at his farm while I was at work and all the while I'm getting later and later for work and starting to panic. Very weird!
 
I had a dream the other night that my horse had escaped and he ran away and no one could find him anywhere, it was so realistic I wanted to cry!!! Rushed down to the stables and he was there! Remembered that the morning before I accidentally let go of him down to the field and wondered if that was where the dream came from
 
I have nightmares about Maje when I'm super stressed.. Horrid vivid ones I can't forget.. God I miss him every second of every day :(
 
i have 2 a day-dream and a normal dream


i tend to day dream alot when im on my on of competing in the Olympics as part of the team gb eventing squad......:)


the next was a Nightmare about my horse running down the drive and onto the road but luckily there was gate there to stop her.
