Paddock next door, belongs to neighbours and rented it out to a horse dealer who put a foal on it last summer, beautiful little thing. Anyway the ragwort was rife and his feet were in a terrible state like he had flippers on, so I went to see the field owner (pretty stuckup) and asked that they pull the ragwort and speak to the owner about his feet. This never happened and the owner has maybe visited once in a year. The field now starting to look bare, I always gave him a stroke, a chat and a treat in the morning, but today found him dead, looked like colic as the ground was churned up around him, poor mite, now I feel guilty I should have done more. He was so adorable and craved attention. I feel heart broken, I mean like crying, if he had had a half decent short life I would not feel so bad. I also try and tell myself that maybe he had some other underlying problems and so on, just feel so bad
