When just everything goes right and you come away feeling like you and your pony are the best combination in the world and could achieve anything you wanted to??

Well I had one of those last night! :D

Hadn’t had a lesson for a month as my RI can be really busy and hard to get hold of and our last lesson had been horrendous – to the point that RI even commented on how poor we were compared to normal!

Last night we were way back on track and pony was a super star – everything I asked for he gave me! We had the most amazing walk and trot – really powering forward and in an outline almost the whole time. We got some of our first collected canter in an outline and in general pony was forward and responsive, going brilliantly and leg yielding like a pro!

Bit of a pointless post really but these rare good lessons make up for all the rubbish ones!!!

It's also really got me in the mood for going out and doing some dressage this month!

Well done and what a great feeling it is. I have regular lessons with Chris Haywood and sometimes my horse does everything asked yet now and then he is a nightmare and it can take the whole lesson to settle him before getting any sense out of him !!!!

Yep, :D it's magic isn't it. My instructor and our little indoor school brings out the best in us. It's a pity that it's behind closed doors and no one can see we really are dressage superstars.

Yip that's what we had last time - he decided before we started that he wasn't playing and just put his fingers in his ears and went "la, la, la, I can't hear you" and ignored every aid for the whole lesson!

Lol - yip know what you mean!! If I could get that sort of work out of him at a competition we'd certainly do well - unfortunately that rarely seems to happen!
