Do you ever ride straight after shoeing?

I always used to and even used to jump the day he had been shod but my horse has very sensitive feet (bruises like a peach

) and a couple of times he has been sore/sensitive so now I will ride but will only do something light on his feet i.e. go for hack around the farm where he is stabled

I never ride after being shod (If I want to ride that day I'll ride prior to the shoes being fit). I like to leave her feet to settle - I know of a few people who're the same

Yes. I don't feel that I have to ride to bed the shoes in but if I happen to be at the yard after my horse has been shod then I would have no problem in riding him

Yes but I don't jump.

Mainy cos neddy went through a phase of standing on his front shoes and pulling them off when landing if I did. That goes down really well with the farrier :>

Frequently. I sometimes take time off work for the farrier and it would be a shame to miss the chance to ride. I do whatever I fancy doing that day with him. Never had a problem.

Never - horse is quite short/pottery after being shod so always leave her until the next day.

Not that I wouldn't ever - I used to hack two miles to the forge and then back again.
