Just wondered.... I have seen a few posts recently and have typed up quite a reply.... and then I think - you know what it really is not worth it !..... do you ever do the same? and do you sometimes feel like you cannot ask questions because you already know the tone that the answer will come back in? so you just dont bother?

Loads of times! Just this week I have ranted then deleted rather than post! Made me feel better and didnt come across as a moaner :) x

Oh definitely. I know exactly what replies I would get to almost anything I could post. I therefore do not tend to post about these kinds of issues. I tend to ask for help on more factual problems that are less emotive or likely to receive judgemental replies. I have also at times started a new thread and typed up a long first post, only to decide 'best not' and scrub it.

Often. If I'm lucky, I realise my mistake before I post.

I can get heated on some subjects, and that's what usually leads me to unwise posting......

same here! just posted a thread, but know it will get replies of 'god! dont you know?' and 'surely i should not own a horse if i dont' but hey ho

deep breathes ..........

yes!
I regularly write a reply but then click back so not to post it.
Do the same on the horsey Facebook pages!

I just think its not worth the argument.
Even though I'm not being nasty just truthful and honest!

it is hard to ask for advice on here, just because your horse does not fit into the 'norm' group, you are judged on your ability to care for it, even with a good vet, farrier, and regime behind you.

The mentality that all horses are the same is sooo wrong.

I rarely post but when I do I aways regret it, wonder why i come on here to be honest.

More and more!

I wonder if its because I've been on here too much and the same subjects come round and round and you get more impatient with them, even if its new people?

Maybe... or you see the same poster posting about the same issue months after the first post and they have not done anything suggested - you just think -why bother or you can immediatley see why the poster is not getting on with the horse as you think well if you come across with what you are saying like you really have no patience with the horse and hate him - then how the hell do you expect to catch him or her or box him or her.

There are things I want to ask, but with my low posts I will probably be deemed a troll, I now tend to just read other threads and keep quiet.

Well ask - please..... I am hopefully going back to work tomorrow or Tuesday so my love affair with HHO will be over - hurrarhhhhh - start of my life back I think !

Go on...do ask. You will almost certainly get accussed of being a troll but the troll hunters tend to stalk in groups and you just fish out the non accusatory posts.

I have to say, in my last thread ive recieved some fab info that i hadnt considered. Now im not a novice horse owner, but i believe you can never stop learning. It was interesting that dee was so very not right yesterday after being ridden, and today she is fine.

I think it was wagtail who pointed out a KS horse can be fine as long as not ridden. Its given me hope!

I'm not afraid of asking advice etc as actually everyone's been pretty nice to me when I have. :) And (I hope!) I never pretend to be more knowledgable than I am.

My problem is getting worked on mostly non-equine issues, and running the risk of hasty posting of opinions which others take exception to. :o
