I get a bit oooeerrr until I find out who I'm going to be riding in my lesson then I seem to settle into what I'm doing. But definitely get excited when I think about what I will be doing that day. Apart from Friday when the horse I was given was being a slug Have you ever tried riding a slug with no stirrups at canter?
I don't feel anything unless I am trotting round the boards waiting for the judge to beep (nerves) waiting for my turn to jump at a competition (nerves) or waiting for the field to move off (so excited that I get goose bumps and sometimes a lump in my throat!)
I get excitement especially if I'm riding a horse I really like working with, but can get nervous when I'm jumping a new horse in a school, but not over cross country x
I used to get so nervous b4 any sort of comp that I couldn't eat till I was finished and even then 9/10 times I would be sick in the trailer but the more I did the less it bothered me
I get excited the days and weeks before eventing. And also when things are going right, like he's actually listening to me schooling or when we're jumping amazingly well everytime (not very often, which is why i get excited)
However the journey to an event i get very nervous, and for the sj and xc i get nervous. Not really for dressage, i'm just like mehh.
I also get nervous when my instructor puts the jumps higher, just a little, but then its fine afterwards.
Alsoooo, i've only been hunting twice, but the two times i have, on the ride there i feel so nervous i feel sick!! It was horrible.
