Do you get grumpy when you can't/don't ride?

All my horsey plans went t|ts up this weekend (excuse the French) and I was grumpy as Hell because of it. Was actually pleased to get back to work, I was so annoyed!

I have noticed this is a pattern - if I don't get on the back of horsey, or, spend plenty of time with him, I get shirty.

Anyone else find this???
 
Yes. A lot. When I finish uni and can own/loan again I will be HAPPY

A little, but I have contact with my two at least six times a day so I'm not so deprived. I really miss riding though, this weekend we realised we had left all the tack at our friend's farm, locked in his tackroom, so we couldn't go out riding

so grumpy you would not believe.
Lucy is ill at the mo and i had to hunt another pony on sat and i moaned the whole time as it wasn't as good as lucy.
 
Yes, I do! Used to be incredibly grumpy during the kids' school summer hols for 6 weeks as I felt grounded! Have got round that now by getting the youngest a pony, so now he can come out with me!

Yes, I get tense, twitchy and downright horrid, and I try my best to be as unbearable as possible in the hope of getting thrown out of the house to go for a ride! (well it's one way of making sure of babysitters!)
 
Very very very grumpy! Worse if I can't get to the yard (sometimes work very late) and get a fix.

Don't worry - he's on full livery for this very reason!!!
 
Me grumpy, never, always positive, cups always half full, look on the bright side, cheery bright and breezy happy go lucky ner a bad word to say about anything or anyone...........ommmmmmmmmmpff, quick where's the bucket blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, feel better now

not so much grumpy but fed up.... it's really depressing sat on my fat ass all day when I can see outside 'perfect weather' to ride in and I can't do anything about it grrrrrrrrh! I use to ride daily - I haven't ridden for 17 weeks and 2 days - yes I am counting!!

Me<----------------huge grump and not riding. Some of that might have to so with SAD (eg winter blues) but it's not helping that my horse is broken and we're waitin for surgery and more box rest. grrrrrrrrr.

I made things worse for myself by watching all the lessons last night at my yard with my RI. I have been very grateful that my pals on the yard have been offering me rides on their horses which has been lovely and have been getting a lesson here and there, too - but if I've got to pay my huge vet bill I'm going to have to save my £30 each week to go toward that instead.

I know that one. Emerald was supposed to come back into work in April but developed a stifle injury. Extensive box rest followed and now field rest. She is about 95% right but still slightly short in her paces so I could probably hack her in walk but really don't see the point - and I took the vet's advice and put her back in foal so the next time I get on a horse is looking like...

Definitely. I hate being sat in this b****y office all day looking out the window thinking how lush it'd be to just get on and go.

I don't really miss not riding after work in the dark, but if I don't get out on hacks on sat and sunday I'm an absolute nightmare, think stroppy teenager type moods!
