Do you have a special bond with your horse?

Definitely - mine is part of the family

we somewhat 'rescued' her as a 4 year old from a riding stables. I say rescued because although the horses there were not cruelly treated they were rather neglected, and I do sometimes wonder what would have become of her had she stayed there.

I was only 14 at the time and going through that typical depressed teenage stage, but she gave me a reason to get up in the morning, get off my arse and do something. She's taught me an awful lot about trust, patience and love, she is truly my best friend and I love her to bits. She continues to amaze me every day with how beautiful and generous she is, although I don't think she knows it

and although she really tries me sometimes, I know at the end of the day that I have the bestest pony in the world

I think I have a very strong bond with my horse. He always calls to me when he sees me and will always leave his field mate to come over and say hello.
If I'm on the ground with him in hand and he's a bit spooky, he always turns to me for reassurance but looks after me so much when I'm riding.
He also has to the centre of attention and if I'm on horse duty on my own for him and his pal, his pal is sent packing and is not allowed under any circumstances to speak to me.
He will occasionally try and stop me leaving the field by trying to round me back up away from the gate if he's feeling particularly cuddly too.
He's the best thing ever and I think I'm incredibly lucky to have found him.
