I was thinking of getting a painting or black and white portrait done of my horse but I don’t know is it worth the money . Do you have artwork of your horse .

One of my ex-colleagues does paintings of animals and kept posting photos of them on his facebook page, so I commissioned one of my mare from him. He never actually saw her, I just sent him loads of photos and he chose a couple that he thought would make the best photos, the painting is actually an combination of 2 different photos, he wanted the green fields in the background but liked the idea of her wearing her headcollar because it added texture to the painting.

Yes I have an oil painting of my old mare from over 30 years ago by Malcolm Coward.
A pencil drawing of my warmblood mare and a quirky art nouvea one of my current Irish mare plus a lovely one done by a livery.
My house is full of artwork of all my animals

Yes. It is completely worth it in my opinion.
My friends got me this painting done of my old horse after I lost her. I've also got a fun painting done by Faye Hobson and then on a slightly different note I've my current horse tattooed on me. I spent a lot of time finding the right artist to do it as there are some really bad looking horse tattoos out there lol! It's worth every penny to have it done, it really is something you can treasure forever and there are some fabulous artists out there.

I had a digital portrait done. I'm never impressed with artwork and find fault with just about every portrait, but the digital portraits are awesome, inexpensive and without the risk of being absolutely crap. For anyone who's not seen one, they basically take a photograph and add painted details onto the eyes, mane etc and it looks like a too good to be true painting, which is what it is.

I do. My lovely friend took a photo I posted of my horse to someone to have it painted. It is not a good photo and the artist hasn't done many horses. It is pretty bad and I have to have it on my wall because I love my friend...

OH commissioned a beautiful pencil portrait of Sadie for my birthday and then a friend did an equally beautiful silhouette herself for my Christmas gift. I am spoiled by pony artwork! I will eventually have her on every wall of the house 😂

No I don’t, because I’m so worried I wouldn’t 100% love it.

Instead I’ve spent out on private photography - that way lots to choose from. I’ve then invested in the printing, high end printing to look like art.
