Do you have different grooming kits?

For different horses? I had 2 sets a few years ago, when I had another pony on loan, but have had a clear out since. I've now just got one of everything, except magic brushes and hoof picks, all chucked in a bucket. I feel as though they each should have their own, but I'd never bother to swap around, and I can only groom one at a time.

Yes I got different for an Andalusian grey. Finer coat and thinner, softer skin

When the children had ponies, yes. Colour coded and it saves arguments.
Later I had 2 with mud fever. It made sense to use different grooming kit.
Now, with one pony, I have a complete set of everything I might ever use ( or not!) at the yard. A nearly complete set in the stables at home and a part set in the horsebox. These have been made up from the kit accumulated over the years.

Yes, different brushes for each pony but they do share other grooming stuff like hoofpick, bot-knife and an assortment of combs.
They also have different brushes for summer and winter coats.

Things in use get swapped out into an old-fashioned tack tray.

I keep 2 or 3 brushes on the top of the kick boards in each stable plus B Fuzzy has a kit box in the corner which travels when we go out posh.
Little A is mostly orange and white, B is dark brown, neither colour needs mixing up tbh....

I have a small assortment in a bag in the horsebox that I rarely use.

Years ago when I had a good number, each stable had its own coded colour kit for each pony, plus spare sets. Youngsters out in field had ones from the box of brushes, was mostly dandy bridges and plastic curry.

Yes they have separate. They have a selection in their stables, in a little plastic thing that goes on the wall, plus their own grooming boxes with more brushes in.

No. All four share the same. And I’ll admit that the last time they were washed was when my daughter was at Pony Club camp. I dare not devolve how many years ago that was!

mine both have their own set - personal preference for hygiene etc, but i will admit that they shared for quite a while because for lily id curated my “perfect grooming kit” and it was going to be expensive to replicate, and difficult because i can’t find slip not bentley brushes anywhere!

as a side note, the shires flick brush is almost as good as the slip not one in my humble opinion lmao

and sponges. I have a skip bucket with a hoof pick that I keep on the yard which I use for all of them.

I used too because a family used to come and play with/ride my hairy little grey and they used to leave my brushes filthy and full of white hairs so I made the ponies up their own. My pet hate is brushes full of hair!
Now it’s only ever me I tend to share.

This is why I have 2 sets of more or or less the same stuff but one box lives in feed room which is at the back of Arabi's stable, Louis kit lives in the spare stable so easier to get to for him.

Oh dear, I have a few random brushes that live in the box on the back of the quad bike,need more than one because I have a roan & a grey pony, the rest are black or bay .

Absolutely! We have three horses and two ponies, they each have their own grooming kit in a grooming box or tray. It doesn’t mean that a bit of stealing doesn’t go on occasionally when something goes awol!

No, I like to keep my stables as relaxing spaces for the horses so I tie them up outside to groom / tack up in one specific area. I have all my kit there and use whatever is appropriate across all 4. They live out together and constantly groom each other so sharing brushes is no different in my view.
Some brushes suit some better than others, the plastic curry comb is mostly used on the mud monster and the fine body brush mostly on the arab x

I have different brushes for my two because one is grey and his white hair gets everywhere. They share hoof pick and mane and tail comb.

I have two bays that share a field, are side by side in the stables if in, occasionally travel together and finish off each other's feed bowls... They share a grooming kit!

I used to have a different set for each horse - each horse had 'their' own coloured brushes. Now I just have a big box with a load of different brushes in it which I use for all of them. The horses are all in herd turnout when out and I have a dedicated grooming/washing/tacking up area where the grooming box lives.

I do try to remember to give the kit a wash once a year.
