Does anyone else have problems getting rugs to fit their horses?

I have an arab and a british riding pony and really struggle to get rugs to fit them properly round their necks. I have found that almost all of the common makes eg: masta, weatherbeeta, mark todd, fal, etc are all too big round the neck when trying the standard necks( not combo). The only rugs that seem to fit my horses are Rambo's.

I find that I have to get my mum to put extra darts in them all before my horses can wear them.

We were thinking about possibly setting up a business that will make rugs to suit the horses with a slimmer frame where you can adjust the neck size for all size horses including foals that wont cost a fortune.

If anyone is interested then any replies would be appreciated or opinions good or bad.

Not sure how you will make an adjustable neck. If it were possible someone would have thought about it by now!
I struggle with big youngsters. I have to try different brands usually to get a good neck and chest fit. But thats all par for the course I guess!

If you could make them adjustable somehow I think that would be really quite neat. I have a 2yo who at the moment is very slight round the front but she constantly grows and being able to let it out would be my ideal as other wise it is a constant cycle of rug replacing! I have no idea how you'd do it but if you come up with a method that works I think you could be onto something there!

The JW Nureev turnout has an adjustable neck. You can just see it in this photo.

The Nureev Turnout rug has a 600D dobby outer with 150g filler and 150 lining. It features a double T-bar front fastening, D-rings for hood attachment, neck adjusters, cross surcingles, with protection, fillet string, elastic leg straps and shoulder gusset. This is a medium weight turnout rug and can be used with the WPH hood, available separately.
Available in sizes 5'3 to 7'0 in.

RE, rugs that fit slim shouldered horses, I have found that Bucas fits my anglo mare nicely. I only use that or Horseware for her and my arab filly. Here's my mare in her Smartex rain. Please note that this was taken in the garden (I don't turnout in nylon headcollars) and the leadrope was quickly unclipped so that I could step back to take the photo. :)
