Do you jump by yourself?

I always find someone to be there with me SJ or xc, for several reasons, and in this order:
1. An observer who sees mistakes I don’t
2. Can help if an accident happens
3. Can pick up poles

Asked me in April? I'd have said never. Now I do, not really a preference so only when I'm feeling on top of things/horsey is in good mood but normally once or twice a fortnight.

With a BP and a phone (in either jods, or, better, waterproof that goes on top of BP pocket - am planning on getting a proper holder though.)

Always call OH when getting on and give an estimate of time I'm going to be spending before calling when (safely!) off. Actually I do this regardless of what we're planning on doing.

As someone else said, no dependents!

I avoid it if I can but do if I have to. We are quite a big yard so generally I can find someone to come and help me for the 15mins or so it takes to actually do the jumping. I get it all ready so I can warm up and start jumping on my own, then my helper only has to appear to put them up for me.

I find it a lot easier with someone on the ground as then I can keep my rhythm/flow, it's a bit stop-start when you have to keep getting off & on. If I'm doing it on my own I'll usually set up an exercise where the jumps can stay small so I only need to get off once (hopefully they don't knock any down!)

Firewell, if there's plenty of people about on your yard do you always make sure you tell someone when you're about to go off jumping? That way if you're not back say an hour later at least they know when you went and alarm bells can start ringing.
