Do you kiss/cuddle your dog more than your partner?

Hell yes, both of mine have far better breath! Kidding of course, but I do kiss and cuddle them far more than I do the OH. I am sure this is the norm... Or perhaps we are just weird.

OH was adamant that the dog was mine, nothing to do with him, he wouldn't miss her if she were gone etc... I caught him giving her a kiss on the snout the other day, it was priceless. :)

She's not cuddly but I do spend more time stroking/kissing/fussing her than I do him, yes. Horse too, nothing beats a whiskery horse snog on a frosty morning!

My dog's aren't that 'cuddly' - more 'tickly' :p but I do get into trouble for spending every weekend training or trialling instead of spending time with him :o and all the money I blow at the vets....

Hell year!!!

Was also far more distraught about the dogs spending the nigth in the vets than the OH spending a night in hospital!! :o

Oh definitely yes :D Mainly Dash though because Oscar isn't a cuddly dog, he comes up for a fuss then goes back to his bed! And Susie is such a madam that cuddles on the sofa are banned for her but I did catch OH cuddling up with "That Bl**dy Whippet" the other day so it's not just me  ;)

Im not to sure really, I do cuddle OH most nights on he setee and bed time, well I cuddle into his slight beer belly (cannot really be classed as a full on one):D
I do cuddle my rotti also alot esp when we are both a work cos she leans in for cuddles and I cuddle the akita loads and do "Mwahhhhs" on her face cos she goes beserk and starts to spin around and do her yowley howley vocals, and I cuddle one of the whipps up in bed for extra warmth for he is really cuddly, I only kiss OH in the throws of passion;):D and as I have a high SD:p, I think he may well get more kisses:o:eek::D

Another serial dog kisser and cuddler here I'm afraid, and the dogs definately get more than the hubby gets!!!

Your Springer is the twin of one of mine! Bluebells too!

The dogs get cuddles all night: the three seem to take turns and the pups can just about get on my knee together still. Big dog gets sent up for cuddles if the OH is off to work before me. They all get tonnes of kisses and they must be sick of being picked up for snuggles. OH gets a kiss when I get in from work.:p

Loving the replies! Glad to hear it's not just me. Or rather, us. My husband is just as bad, he wont just give one kiss either, he will plant several smackers on their snouts at various times throughout the evening!

Well yes, because my BF is living in another country at the mo. :p But the dogs sleep in my bed etc, and I can't stop myself cuddling them every time I as much as look at them :D

As mushy and kissy as I am, I am always suprised at the amount of people who let their dogs sleep in their beds - blegh!

My bed is the only place in the house that doesn't smell of horse piss and isn't covered in a dense coat of white hairs, it's a sacred hoomin-only space. :p

I don't kiss the dogs very often, usually they've just been eating horse poo, cat poo or other such delights. I do however kiss the cats and the horses loads. The dogs aren't even allowed upstairs, let alone on the bed. The cats however know they are allowed on/in it when hubby is away (all three of them), otherwise they steer clear. I grew up having cats sleeping on my bed, and I survived. If they can't get onto our bed, they go and sleep on the children's beds. The cats are quite adept at working out that once hubby has got up to get ready for work they can jump on without getting kicked off.

Ah see, I can't stand the horse piss stench/bedding in the house! Because my horses live out, I am spared it, but my word did I know about it when I had Be on boxrest last Spring - my Dubarrys were dreadful for bringing the smell home with me! In fact, I stopped wearing them for a bit, and resorted to old wellies instead.

I don't think I'd have been as keen to have a big hairy dog in my bed every night (canine puppy didn't, she slept outside my door), but for the little sleek ones, who are perfect hot water bottles/teddies, I love having them there to snuggle. :D

Yeah, I suspect I'd think differently if I had a sleek little-y, bit different having a dog that can stretch out longer than you can and who will easily push you out and hog the covers. :p Between her and the OH the sheets would blow off also...

Horse piss stench is entirely down to a certain creature rolling in the muck heap last week, have finally managed to eradicate it from the house but my car is a lost cause. :o

ETA: I am a big fat hypocrite because my old cat used to sleep on my pillow and the dog has her own sofa. :p

Definately! We both do. OH has a favourite JRT and I just cuddle all three! Unfortunately he won't let them in the bed before we met it used to be me and atleast two cats on the bed and dogs depending on the state of them after the yard!

Yes definately ! We both greet her (ESS) before each other sometimes, my husband works nights, when he gets up he fusses her first before I get a look in, she loves cwtches and cuddles and kisses she's so affectionate we both love her, everyone does, after my GSD I never thought I'd meet a more affectionate dog but now I have

I can't sleep if charlie brown isn't on the bed. :p :D I cuddle him all night with my back to the OH :p :D :D
So yes I'm guilty of kissing and cuddling my dog more than my partner :o
