Visited friend today who has just bought a 12'2 pony for her daughter. When I stood by the pony in the yard I said she felt very tall for a 12'2 we didn't have a measuring stick but used the weigh / height measure tape & she came up 13'1 every time. Now I know these arn't always accurate but other owners came by in the DIY yard and we had a sample "measure of other horses" And it was surprising how many came in short or tall compared to the actual "owners" purchase heights on passports etc. Just got me thinking if anyone had actually had their horses height queried at a show or competion and does it really matter.........
However after saying this if the height on a passport is clearly wrong does the owner have a responsibility to change or report this if selling on...?
