Does anyone recognise themselves in this photo or know anyone in it??

It was taken arounnd 1989 in the Netherley / Tarbuck area, it was printed in the Liverpool Echo news paper... They had opened a new bridle path and we were the first riders on it.

I don't know the surnames of anyone, only first names and their horses.

From left to right: Sandra & Copper, Leanne & O'bien, Me & Beauty, (in the back ground Rider?? & Karandy (Stallion) and Val & Laddy... I would love to know how the girls are doing these days.

I can not see the pic clearly cause am on my phone but I was based on wheathill in the late 80's and the 90,s. I will have a look on my laptop and see if I can spot anyone I know

The no horses beyond this point sign is rather funny :D

It's great that isn't it ha ha ha that was the cut off point from the new bridle path to where all of the young little cherubs use to screw it round on their crossers and stolen mopeds... There was some kind of like cattle grid device that stopped bikers from coming onto the new bridle path and chasing us... God, Liverpool was such a wonderful place in the 1980's lmao

I remember Karandy he was an Arab. He belonged to a friend of a friend. My friend owned his full or half brother. And yeah I agree Liverpool was a great place then :-D

It might be worth contacting the Echo? We've printed pictures on the memories page of the paper I work for before of old sports teams to see if anyone recognises the people and loads of people have got back in touch...

That's a good idea eleanor79 :)

I use to be stabled at Dye House Farm, going back some 32 ish years ago. That's where I kept my first pony, Misty. The horse that I'm on in this picture was also stabled there at the time, her name was Burt, she was hogged at the time, but when I went to buy her from a different yard a few years later, she had a long mane and her name had been changed to Jazmine. Had we know it was the same horse we wouldn't of touched her with a barge pole as she was a persistent rearer and I was only 9yrs old at the time... she had been doped at the time of me trying her, so needless to say she was as good as gold, a few days later her true colours came to light but persevered with her as we didn't want her to end up as Beeston sales, she turned out to be a nice pony after a lot of re-schooling and correct handling...
