Do you let you dog sleep on your bed at night?

Yes , every night . Nearly all my dogs have done so . Present dog lies on the bed , but former ones have got under the duvet

This is Popple looking very disapprovingly at me getting up stupidly early for rowing, but on a usual morning she gets up just after 7 when she hears my mother get up. She also does the tapping on my shoulder when she wants me to life the duvet up for her wriggle under

Oh yes! Three on and one in....and one relegated to a chair next to the bed as there is just not enough room for all five

Our dogs have always slept in or on our beds since we were kids and I have to say we're all a lot healthier that my sisters lot, where they disinfect every square inch of the house and the dog is known to the rest of the family as 'Winnie in your basket'! ( as that's all you hear all day from my sister!)

My little westie sometimes comes on the bed with me, but usually tries to get soooo close shes practically lying on me!!!
if she barks to come up and I tell her no she will quite happily potter off and snooze somewhere else. She does like to sneak up there when Im not there too....

Flick sleeps on the bed all night mostly. Islay chooses to mostly sleep downstairs, then when Flick wakes me up (usually at 5am every day

) they both get let out then come upstairs onto the bed afterwards

Greyhounds are very spikey dogs to sleep on the bed, and have very long legs

Otto gets on the bed when we first get in, but then takes himself off to his own bed and sleeps there until early morning whe he gets back up. Unless it's really cold (and I mean cold, our house has o heating or insulation) and then he stays on the bed all night ad is more than welcome

Both JRTs are in the bed/on the bed depending on how warm they get.....
OH was much disgusted but now secretly lets them sleep in bed with him when im not there!

Yes, my Italian greyhound has to. She's already under the duvet the second I open the bedroom door. During the day she might sleep in her bed, but at night there's no question - she has to be under the covers and possibly attached to my body for extra warmth. This both in winter and in summer. She is unbearably cute when she is sleepy and under the duvet, though, so I'm happy too

This was taken when she'd just arrived

My dogs shed all year round, yomp around in Heaven knows what all day, roll in smelly 'coon poo, eat horse muck and they fart, they aren't coming anywhere near the inside of my house, let alone my bed.

They have their own big squishy beds out in the dog room between the house and the garage. They are Guard dogs, no good at deterring people if they are snoring in my room.

Nope...my dogs live in their own area at night. They have run of downstairs winter evenings but are not allowed upstairs. They are smelly JRT's who are out about all day doing god knows what. I don't want them on my bed thanks....

Anyhoo....what do your dogs do when you have a bit of 'how's yer father'?

Mine would probably think I was being attacked and atke OH's leg off!!!

I'm with Tinkerbee, Enfys and Honeypots!

Ours rarely see the inside of the house, only two of them have ever been upstairs. Two of them are in the utility room, and two in the kennel. The lurcher will come in by the fire in winter, but have his coat on to sleep in the freezing utility - he has a spaniel to cuddle up to, so isn't cold!

Not a chance. Regardless of the fact that he farts and rolls in poo, he's bad enough on the sofa - wriggles behind you and pushes you off. Suspect something similar would happen in bed - we'd be on the floor while wretched lab lies diagonally across the bed and digs at the matress to make a nest!
