The website is basically very good but I think the photos are a poor quality which spoils the image. I would also prefer to see the livery prices as it may make me think it was too expensive.
hello, not really about your website, I had a quick read and saw that you used to train with Jabeena - i was at hers for a while, not at the same time as you though. This isn't useful in anyway I just thought it was a coincedence that I looked at your page.
Like your website - easy to navigate round and if you were in my area I'd be giving you a call
Just a few things worth considering IMO
Does livery include bedding and if so what bedding and how many bales per week?
Prices would be useful
I have my girl on full livery but without exercise so could you offer that facility?
What about holiday livery?
Is it just an a adult yard - some people prefer that.
I can't read it very well as the times new roman font combined with the bright blue background is making my eyes hurt - sorry
Arial would have been a more user friendly choice for a web font.
Re your images, they aren't brilliant quality, but you have resized them in the browser which doesn't help. It works better if you resize the images in photoshop instead. On your facilities page your images are huge - not only is it making them look poor quality, but they are taking ages to load as well. Agree with the others about prices - it's definitely better to have your prices onthe site than not - it puts people opff if you don't have them as they think it will be expensive.
Don't mean to sound negative - just trying to help!!!! sorry!
The content of the site is good though and if you resize the pics they will look much better. One more thing though - I would have had a contact us page, as it is not obvious where visitors need to look for your contact details. Again, I really don't mean to be negative, I'm just trying to help - I'm just being picky!
Are you really looking for feedback on the site or are you advertising the livery? I ask as you've mentioned you have spaces twice now which isn't relevant to whether the site works and looks ok.
Its very simple to navigate your way around, which is good, its clear, straight to the point (navigation bar at the top etc)
Not keen on the colour you have used for the background (but that's just me personally) nor the font, doesn't look very professional...what I mean is it with a few simple changes it could look a whole lot better, more finished, shaper, really professional and give off the impression of quality which is what any website needs, first impressions etc capture your imagination and entice you to look round the website.
I agree the pictures are fine but need to be of better quality...again if you want the website to look its best, so I'm not picking faults.
If its your first bash at a website...then well done, its all about having a play around with stuff till you think you can t make it any better, looks a lovely place!....wish our livery yard was like that!
It is a simple to navigate site, but I don't like the background colour or font, I have to scroll sideways to see the entire page, no contact page, no prices and the double-lined tables on the 'For Sale' page look old-fashioned.
If you did it yourself, then well done, but if you paid someone for it then shoot them!
Speaking here, as the person who made the website, Ive taken all your comments on board
I appreciate the quality of photos is pretty awful, however we cannot use most photos due to copyright issues, and as YO does not compete as much now there are less oppurtnuties to take some more non-professional photos. I will try resizing them in photoshop rather than frontpage, but I doubt this will have much effect as they are 1. scanned in and 2. pretty bad quality on the original photos.
Thanks for the comments about the width of the site, I will try and sort that so it is better for all viewers. I will also look into changing the font so it is more readable. YO wants the colour choice to stay as it is the denbies theme colours, and blue on white is supposedly one of the easiest colour combinations to read (hence it is used on road signs
).
I was specifically asked NOT to put the prices on the website by my YO.
Yes livery includes the price of bedding - will add this to site.
Not sure on holiday livery due to vaccination/worming issues etc.
Thanks for the advice, please keep it coming it is very useful
