If you do, I would be interested to know the following -

How much you pay for livery (and what inclusions/type)?

How much you pay for haylage?

And rather randomly, for my own personal interest - Do you have a side loading Lorry/Trailer?

(Perhaps we could arrange a gathering)

Thanks

I do live in Surrey. Have 2 on part livery at Denbies. Here is the link which clearly shows what part livery includes and what the costs are

http://www.denbiesstables.co.uk/emstestliveryservices.html

No idea of what yard pays for haylage - its included though I took my mare off it and moved her to soaked hay as she is such a ganet and youngster is temporarily on soaked hay while in recovery. No exclusions per se - the listing shows very clearly what you get in your deal! Seem to have a lot of young event horses on the yard now as well

My trailer is rear load but side unload if that counts?!! and our hacking is brilliant being right on Ranmore!

I live in hampshire (southampton to exact)

I pay £170pm for assisted DIY which includes turnout everyday yard has indoor school outdoor school jumping paddock trainers on site

Haylage is £45 per bale

I dont have any transport =( it sucks

I live in Surrey and have two horses on DIY at £125 pm each. That includes huge stables, all year t/o, use of manege, trailer storage.

Don't have haylage, use hay and have just bought this year's at 5.50 per bale (small bale)

Have a trailer although possibly changing to a lorry in the new year as daughter doing more miles now.

Grass livery in worpleston (near woking / guildford) £120 per month. YO checks horses, rotated fields, individual paired or 3 horse turnout as per owner

I live in hampshire(Southampton(me)/Boarhunt(horses) and have my two on part livery/Assisted DIY at a friends yard, mine is £38pw/£152 every 4 weeks which includes the daily 'handling' so chaning fields, bringing in, turning out, rug changing, feeds given at either end of the day and putting to bed if were not around and general maintenance eg fence fixing! i feel i abuse this though as my horse destroys lines of fencing when the mood takes her!

we buy our hay from the yard at the price they buy it in for so about £5pb, buy my own shavings and feed.

its really quiet just me and my two and my YO and her three.bliss(: we have a beautiful allweather school that doesnt freeze/fly away not deep or boggy which comes in useful and have amazing forrest hacking within a 5 minute walk down the road (which is very quiet) or 10 minute walk in the other direction to the common.

My YO is an instructor too so shes onsite plus shes lisenced to take us to shows, although its not cheap :(

Have own yard so not on livery.

Happy to host small gathering at a weekend, parking for a number (but not if its been raining for the previous week as you'd have to park in a resting pony paddock)

5 miles SE of jct 3 of M3, 7 miles SW from jct 11 M25

Grass livery in worpleston (near woking / guildford) £120 per month. YO checks horses, rotated fields, individual paired or 3 horse turnout as per owner requirements. Hay is 6.50 per bale and yo will hay and feed in winter for 6 a day or 25 a week monday to friday.big school good hacking and storage for rugs etc. Post and rail and electric fencing. No trailer sorry!

Im in Chipstead pay £152 a month diy for field and stable. Pay extra to keep my lorry there as well. I buy hay off the farmer at £6 a bale, not sure what haylege is but i was paying £40 for a large one at the begining of the year.
Have a school but no real hacking mostly road work. Grazing is good but mud is a massive problem in the winter so horses are kept in for most of it. No real storage for anything either at the mo, its a work in progress yard.

I'm near Godalming. My horses I suppose are on part livery - stable, bedding, feed, turn in and out, rug change hold for farrier, vet etc, 7 days a week. For that I would pay £115 per week per horse if I weren't married to the YO (thank heavens for small mercies!)

I've no idea how much Andy pays for haylage although I know it's eye wateringly expensive and much more so than when we set up in 2006.

We have a rear load horsebox.

Always happy to meet people in the area!

East of Southampton £24/week DIY for stable and grazing. Year round turnout, no proper school, but a dedicated small field that we can use for schooling/jumping. Large bale haylage was £40 last Winter, we can turn out 24hrs in Summer, dreading the price this Winter.

No transport, I hire, but I don't get out much.

Just over the hill from where you bought Poppy from!

£30 a week DIY. floodlit school, all year p+r small herd turnout, 25/7 May-Oct, direct off road hacking off drive.

Pay £45 for a big round bale haylage. Last year my share for my 15.3hh was £30/month.

Have a trailer, but it isn't side loading. It has doors rather than a ramp. ;)

:o Where are you?!

That sounds like a great deal, although I may be wrong, not been on livery before :o

I'm in Hampshire and currently pay £80 a week (per horse) for assisted livery. When I hunted around for yards when I first got my horses this seemed reasonably priced, but reading some of the replies on here make me want to cry! Have PMed a couple of you.

that seems a lot! I know proper Part Livery (everything except exercise) is just over £100 in my area!

I am thinking it is a lot after reading this thread! Have looked at other yards though which are over £100/week, so I think it's actually somewhere in the middle. At the moment it's in my loan contract that I can't move yards, but I won't have the horse on loan forever so once I'm not tired down I think I'll have another look around, especially as I want to buy another of my own so the cheaper the yard the better as I do like to save money up just in case I have an unexpected vets bill, or a change of shape means I need to buy a new saddle, or whatever.

I'm in Surrey, near Hampshire (Farnborough/Aldershot/Farnham area).

I pay £50 a month for a shared rented paddock with auto water and school at the yard next door, no other facilities.

Last time I bought small bag haylege it was about £8-£9.

I don't have transport :(
