do you lock your house when you go out?

No, I don't. My theory is that anyone with evil deeds in mind will have to get past the dogs and my GSD is very welcoming to all, she lets people in but will not let then out!
Secondly living with no neighbours they could easily break in and no one would hear a thing.

No I don't. But we have a buzzer door outside before anyone gets near the front door. Then if someone gets as far as into the house, its a nice, long hall with nothing bar a GSD. When I leave the house I always lock it. Only time car isn't locked is when I stay put on yard - if I hack, then I lock it.

The last house I was in, had to be locked and I wasn't comfortable in it at all.

Hoh yes! We live in a student area and have had all kinds of random things happen. There was a phase were someone went around stealing all the doorbells(!). Dread to think what would happen if we didn't! Also, when I was a kid, we did lock up and someone still broke in - and were there in the morning when my mother went down to make tea. She only realised because one of the windows was open - a window that did *not* open - and ran back up to check on us. When she went back down again, all the back doors were open and a bunch of things (frustratingly mostly ones with sentimental value) had been pinched. All of a sudden the 'no we're not having a dog' rule got revoked! Between us, as a family, we now have four, two at each property!

No, because you have to get through Dave first:

And if you get through him you've still got to get through Bentley...!!!
