I don't, always get up ridiculously early to get it done on the morning. Is extra hard for me as horse's mane is mahoosive, no matter how much I pull it.

Usually the night before I have so much to do anyway, it's a relief to leave something for the morning. However I'm finding it makes me nervous and sort of spoils my day!! It takes soooo long, I get really wound up about getting it all done and it looking neat. By the time I'm done I'm frazzled, not to mention having to get up at a ridiculous hour to accomplish it!

However I'm scared to do it the night before. I can foresee them all being trashed and having to start from scratch again.

So what do you all do??

I have done it the night before in the summer, well we went somewhere both days of weekend so i just left them in, he was then turned out in his fly rug which has a neck cover. In the morning a few needed re rolling but other than that looked fine

I usually plait our two in the morning, but lately have been doing them the night before and putting one of those stretchy hoody things on..........I only have to occasionally re do the odd plait AND I get extra hour in bed.....lovely.

I tend to plait the night before if I need to head out before midday....and to spend an extra hour in bed ! Only ever had to re-roll 1 or 2 next morning.

If showing though I do haul myself out of the bed to plait that morning, so they look the best they can.

The night before. He has a rug with a neck cover which probably helps keep them in. Everything gets done the night before, because trying to do anything with two toddlers running around is VERY stressful! So at 7pm I wash legs and tail, plait mane, hitch up trailer, then go inside to do tack, put together bag of boots, hat, hairnet, gloves, whip, food, coat, money, and put clothes out ready to get into. Takes the whole damn evening!

used to always do them on the day, but recently discovered the joys of doing them the night before - much less stress and no rush. i dont roll them up, save that for the morning.

Defo the night before - and I always sew them - can't use bands anyway !! only haven't bothered the past few weeks as hunting has been called off too many times ( snow / ice) and takes me twice as long to take them out !!

In the morning, only takes me like 10/15 mins now anyway depending how excited the horse is!! Wash the legs and tail night before then she wears stable boots over night and I hope that she stays clean, joys of having a spotty horse, do the same with the others that I have hunted tho as one is coloured and other has white legs, just prefer as then can do them tight with out feelin guilty if they in all night and saves more mane!!!!

night before dont like to have to rush 2 much before hunting if i hae to rush i just forget me whip hat gloves head or what ever else i can possibly forget

I plait up my tail (sew it in) and plait down my mane and roll them up in the morning. I get really stressed out as i always have to rush or they aren't looking right etc. and so if i do them the night before i have plenty of time so don't ruin the morning!
Also means i just get to the yard, sponge any poo stains off, brush him over, roll up plaits and im done!
