Do you ride if you feel unwell?

I usually do. I've had a horrible cold for the past fornight which has varied between being sneezy/snivelly, coughing, sore throat, headache etc. I was at the chesty cough and snivelly phase yesterday and did a hunter trial. Could barely breath when I got back from it!

Nope! If I'm feeling that ill I'll be irritable, and wouldn't want to inflict that on my neddies, would all end in tears!!

Thanks for the posts everyone. The update is, I didn't ride yesterday, but as I had at least 2 naps during the day, I don't think I was quite my usual self :p

Today started off still feeling rough, but OH dragged me in to town and we had lunch at Harvey Nichols :D;) so felt a lot better for getting out of my PJ's! The rubbish morning weather wise was turning into a nice afternoon, so went out for a hack and felt great! But, I don't think I'd have enjoyed it yesterday, so right decision all round I feel. Oh and my horse was a superstar, keen and just enough buzz, but none of her Chestnut Mare moments, so extra polos for her:)

Mrs M - Hmm hotchocolate, great idea! I've been having lots of hot milk and honey, taking me back 20 years to when my nana used to make it for me :)

TheresaF - really good to see a post from you (I'm not in NL that often) and I feel a total hypochondriac for even thinking I felt poorly yesterday :o. I've said it before, but I'll repeat - you are an inspiration. Everything crossed for you that you continue to get better and stronger after the op, and you kick this into touch xxxx

Oh and I meant to say - funny how injuries never stop us riding! Last time I buggered my knee, I got back on waaayyy too soon. Couldn't walk without a serious limp, but somehow persuaded OH that I was fine to ride. Which I was - until I got back to the yard - and couldn't figure out how to get off again :o
