who takes their dog to work and what sort of job do you do ?

I work in an office at the family firm which i now manage, my puppy has a crate in the corner, he sleeps most of the working day but has a little play around lunchtime with his 2 favourite members of staff!
i'm quite lucky that he is a sleepy dog and hardly gets in the way or disturbs me as he loves his bed far too much to get up, although he very occasionally gets up and barks at customers if he's feeling energetic!

I work for a charity and when I get my pup next year she will accompany me to the care centres and hospices I visit once or twice a week. can't wait!

I am homebased at the mo so the family poodle and lhasa apso keep me company during the day

I wish I could bring my Beastie but I don't think the Premises Officer would be too pleased and she might savage someone!

(The dog, not the Premises Officer although she is an old witch)

Yep, we own a feed merchants, and our three are here most of the time, two are sleeping in the crate at the mo (door is open for them to come out for drinkies and greeting customers!) and small rat (husbands terrier) is in the van with him.

I'm a vet and my two come to work with me. We are currently building a kennel and run for them in the yard outside although at the moment they have the run of the flat above the surgery and will probably stay there until the weather warms up a bit.

I bring my dog to work with me. I work in accounts for a civil engineering firm. She sleeps under my desk most of the day. She has been coming to work with me every day since she was 8 weeks old.

She's never been any trouble at all - its great having her here.

annoyingly mine could easily come to work with me....

I have my own office - whihc is big enough for him to be in his bed during the day - and we have a little garden out the back... but my boss has said no - for insurance reasons.. in case the dog bit someone

I work at a university tho - so I can see why they have to say no...

Yes, at Boat building yard/ marina.... He just follows me everywhere, I carry his blanket and when i have been assigined to do a job i go to that place and Boris follows then goes to sleep while i work hence i carry his blanket/chews. Sometimes he stays in office with the admin. He also goes sailing if i am delivering a boat on my own.

My OH is a computer engineer, so on days when he has to be on site particularly early he will take Poppy with him. She sleeps in her crate in the car while he does his job, then they have a nice walk somewhere.

Only time I can't see it working is in the height of the summer when the car could be too warm.

He does this 1-4 times a fortnight.

Im a night nurse(veterinary) and I take my rotti and Akita to work...they roam around the hospital all night...then sleep in the duty room with me

there is also a huge enclosed car park for them to run around in.

I'm not supposed to, but sometimes Ozzie my JRT comes to the office on a night shift (he tends to sleep under my desk for the whole 12hrs - lazy little toad)!!!
