Mine knows the truth - I don't produce itemised bills, but if he asks me how much something was I'll tell him. We only use the joint account for house stuff (mortgage, Council Tax, bills etc) so it's my money anyway
Costs of saddles are drastically reduced from the truth!
Most other costs are not kept a secret!
Lol, how many did she think you had?!![]()
I don't lie I simply never tell him .
-My husband thought hay was free because it was grass farmers needed to get rid of.
-Shoes were ten euro as they kept the same set for years and just got their hooves filed, which was cheap of course
-vets 12 euro per hour
That is fantastic about the hay! Wish I'd thought of that. I certainly knock the odd 0 from costs and the horse food is hidden in the general 'animal feed/ insurance/ stuff' costs. He doesn't mind when I spend a fortune on the dogs but if it's for the horses he gets a bit stroppy! After all it is my "hobby". I also tend to tell him about things after I've agreed them and tell him things in the middle of a sentence in the hope he misses the important bit I.e " work was busy today, by the way I've got a foal coming next weekend, so anyway what shall we have for tea".
You are very lucky then!Mine actually owns our small companion pony, and is perfectly happy to spend whatever we need to on our three![]()
