lol
mine are barefoot and don't wear flashes or eat hard feed but I put a martingale on everything, would shoe them if they needed it and would feed them straights if I needed to feed them anything (they're fatties!) Does this mean I am very confused?![]()
After the recent spate of "gelding" threads on here I don't think I was thinking of the same sort of bits that you two were on about![]()

It ain't just inexperienced horsefolk who are chicken about the weather. I had a YO, who had been in the business for at least a decade, with whom I was at loggerheads over blanketing a couple years ago. My horse survived Colorado and Massachusetts winters for years with only a rain sheet (because she hates being wet) over a winter coat, and I had a stable rug I could put under rain sheet on those MA winter days that dropped to -10 or below FARENHEIT. Most of the other horses at the CO barn lived their lives unrugged, but as I said, mine got her rainsheet because she is a weenie. Anyway, fast forward to this particular yard, where I would put what I thought was the appropriate blanket on the horse and the next day, come out to find the YO had a different, and much heavier, blanket on her. When I stated my point of view about this, the YO told me, "Scottish winters are different from winters in other places."
Okay......
I'm confused, suicidal and could start a real fight on here![]()
One poster suggested dipping his bits in apple juice.

Not just horses people are being soft about. What about the dog world. Oh gee, it's unbelievable.![]()
HAHA! I just pictured two ponies with no hair stood there together with a blank look, head down, ears back and with a speech bubble above them both saying 'Someone forgot to put the fire on'.
I'm so strange.![]()
I have no idea what video you're talking about. Send us a link.![]()

Good grief, why do threads like this always have to degenerate like this.
