Okay, so my pony is just 14.1hh, and I'm 5'4, and size 8-10, and I weigh just under 8 1/2 stone, and I'm 17.
He is a Irish Cob, though he is not chunky, he is solid.
He doesnt feel small and fine when your on him, and people tell me i look fine on him.
I dont want to sell him, and cant afford to buy a new one. We dont do BSJA or anything, just a few local shows.
Really I just need people to tell me I'll be fine on him, so I'm not worrying him

Thanks guys, Lottie x

I've had my 14.2hh for years and years. I'm the same height as you (not same size though!!

I used to ride a 14.3 welsh cob x arab, she wasnt chunky but like yours - solid. Am 5ft9 and 9.5 stone.
We had lots of fun together, my mum rode her too and shes nearer 11 st

you could ride a 12.1 and not worry!! My pony is 14.2 and I'm taller and heavier than you and he doesnt struggle at all so stop worrying!! anyway what do you need another horse for ponies are the best they are the most fun!!

I am 5.8 and on a 14.2 cob - he is very chunky but I don't look ridiculous on him! I was very paranoid to start with but have seen someone else my height on him and we can get away with it!

I wish I wasn't 5'9 and could still get away with riding ponies you're luck - Stick with ponies they are more hardy more fun and it's not as far to fall!

Im your height, heavier and ride much smaller ponies- you'll be no where near too big- Maybe too big for a mini shetland, but not much else.

I'm 5'4 and still ride my 11.1hh, and on work experience was put on an 11.2hh youngster to school!

I think you'll look fine xD
