Do you think I can show him?? (pics)

Okay Im no expert but,

1) Where to start??? Check out for local shows.

2) If I could show him.. hes about 14.2-14.3 and I am 24 years old soon. Course you could

3) If hes good enough looking (to me his is but it's judges I have to get on side). Some judges could be abit 'nasty' because hes got uneven markings(as someone else mentioned) but if its only local youll be fine, my friend has a cob very similar and shows him!

4) Am I too big, on him??? Noopeee

Can one give me advise on how I would start showing him???
Try inhand first (thats what I did

) then you can determine whether you enjoy it and to get used to the showing environment.

Don't be put off by the markings thing- I have a friend who shows a minimally marked coloured who's markings are also not equal on both sides very similar to yours (but with less white)and does very well, even in the placings at County level. One of the reasons she does so well is the pony is always immaculately turned out and has manners to burn so is foot perfect in individual show.

Hers goes plaited and trimmed because she doesn't want to hog and the pony doesn't grown any more feather than yours has in the pic.

If his hair will grow more I'd show him as a traditional I think, if not it'd be the all out cob- hogged etc. Unless its just a bit of fun in which case just for for the plaited look and have a go!
