Now I have bought another youngster I was thinking about getting a sharer for the 13.2 I don't want a financial contribution just a competent rider to school her and hack out with me. I would give them the opportunity to compete next year as well as attend lessons, pony club/riding club and clinics. I'd want them to contribute to lessons etc but not for the transport or any of the normal costs with keeping a horse.

I don't really want a child unless their parent is involved too, I'd prefer a small adult.

Do you think this will appeal to anyone or is the pony too small?

It would potentially be a fairly long term opportunity as I won't have a jockey for this pony for 5 years.

Well, I am 24 and own an approximately 13.2/13.3 hh Native and lots of other people on here are adults with ponies, so definitely a market for them

I'm a small adult and I share a 13.2hh pony, she's fab. So yes, plenty out there who would love that opportunity. Just be prepared to have lots of phone calls from a) teenagers who may hammer the pony b) children who ring up without asking their parents and c) adults who are optimistic about their weight/height! These were some of the issues that the owner of my share pony had when looking.

This is exactly what I do with Idiotpony and another girl at my yard does with an elderly semi-retired type.

I think you'll have to weed through a LOT of crap if his owner's experiences were anything to go by, but it is possible.
