Ive decided im going to put my TB Mare on share or loan and wonder what people's thoughts maybe??
Ive had my 16hh, TB mare for 3 years and she is eight now. She is a fabulous horse to ride but I think we are just too similar. Im very sensisitive person, I get upset easily and My Girl is the most sensitive, Intelligent TB you have ever met. Now shes -gorgeous, talented, safe and kind but when she gets upset about something she needs someone cool, calm and collected not me freaking out on her. I also think I am holding her back because she is very talented.
She keps me awake worrying about her and us and if we are right. Shes been so upset since I have moved her yards and I just dont have the patience for her. I am thinking of getting myself something that perhaps isnt as talented but is a little easier. Like a nice connemara or something.
Good Points :-
- Learns things quickly because shes intelligent (i put this as a good thing but it could be a bad thing with a novice/nervous person)
- Trys so hard, she loves to work
- Lovely paces and suberb jump, very honest in her work
- lovely hack, forward going but doesnt pull, 100%in heavy traffic.
- has been placed in every unafflliated discipline you can think of, was placed at dressage champs of GB.
- tons of potential to go as far as you are brave enough to go.
- well mannered, light to handle, she doesnt drag you around or anything.
Bad Points:-
- Very sensitive, if your tense, she'll pick up on it and be tense too (although never naughty)
- A bag for the farrier, needs a patient, quiet farrier and a huge bowl of food.
- Has quite bad seedy toe, but is not lame (obviously this is not so much of an issue if person is just sharing).
- needs a routine, gets upset if she doesnt have a routine.
Do you think someone would be interested to share a horse like this?? She isnt your bog standard quiet riding club type but would make a suberb competition horse for the right person.
If the right person came along and fell in love with her I would consider selling her in the future. Also if i did sell her, what sort of price would she be? This is her.. Thanks
