No! i think people often rug too much. Someone down here has got their horse in a middleweight rug now! what will they put it in in feb when its really cold. Ours has a lightweight if its raining or fly rug if dry and he's still alive.

No, Daisy hardly ever has a rug on at the moment, only if I want to ride her and the forecast has predicted rain. I think most people overrug.

god heavens no! the only time you need a rug is on sweet itch ponies, clipped ponies in the worst of the winter weather and the very old, or ill! other than those circumstances leave them naked!

Yep, he's not going to disolve!

None of my horses are rugged, bar the patheitic Arab X, who shivers like it's going out of fashion at the first drip of rain and refuses point blank to grow his own sensible winter wooly coat, regardless of how 'mean' i am to him.

Do these guys look like they need a rug!?

Nope- mine has had a LW put on this week as we seem to be having monsoons at night and i want to ride at 6.30 am and a fly rug to keep th emad bitey beasts off otherwise. Most others with us have no rug except 32 yo who suffers from rain scald very easily!!! Cobs r tough tough tough unless you are a purple flower then the world ends
