Not sure how true this is but I was once told that since my boy is quite evenly marked he should do well in coloured classes! Didn't bother me since I'm not too fussed anyway but from what I can see your boy has nice even markings too.

He's gorgeous. Good luck :)

You know he is;) any excuse to post some pics!!:D

On a serious note...I have limited knowledge of showing but I have heard the same about the colour being even.

I think to myself he is gorgeous but someone i know disheartened me by saying he's not nice enough.............he moves lovely too so not sure why the need for their comment but with them being in to coloureds i took it a little personally :-/

As VANNER says give it a go, if he moves well and he looks like he has a bit of TB in him somewhere, just scub him up,do a lot of ground work with him and enjoy.:D:D

He's nice looking, but it will all depend on how he goes!
There's a "historical" coloured competing in my area who really doesn't look the coloured part per se but goes so beautifully and always gives the ride judge a wonderful ride so tends to be highly placed.
I also have a stunning well-marked mare who is a real head turner but is never placed and quite rightly so because she's a cowbag lol!

I think he's ace, go for it, just an observation... Does everyone with coloureds call their babies mud monsters? Lol, that's my nickname for my boy too :D

Even colour is looked for , was told i had to plait unless I had a traditional cob. Only problem u get is judges who favour either skewbalds or piebalds . Gl! X

I think I'm one off the few people who perfer more White than even amounts off both.
Showing in my mind is based on what the judge likes, my mate always knows where she will be placed in a class based on the judge which I think is terrible and makes showing pointless.
