Muppet fractured her pedal bone at the beginning of the year. It has healed as per x ray, and she has been back in 'proper' work for about 2 1/2 months. Her new rider and her did their first dressage test last week, but looking at the video I am not convinced that she is sound on her near fore (fracture leg).

If anyone has a few minutes to spare, I would appreciate any thoughts - not on the rider, it was their first dressage test, but on her soundness. I have her booked in at the vet for an evaluation, but just wanted to know if I am completely paranoid or not!

Thanks!

The footage is really jumpy whilst playing (possibly the fault of my laptop??) so it is pretty hard to tell but everything seems okay from what I can see... certainly no obvious signs of pain or favouring of the foot...

I hope you dont think im beiong rude but he doesnt look lame as such , but more uncomfortable in his back, the saddle looks like its bouncing up and down and if he has been out of work for a while perhaps the saddle doesnt fit too well?

Well spotted! She is booked in for a saddle fitting this week for exactly that reason!

I am taking her to the vet today, and she is going to be ridden as well, so I am sure that if there is any problem, it will be picked up.

Thank you for the help, it is much appreciated

No, I can't see any lameness

But I do agree about the saddle moving far too much. She does look tight over her back. I would get the saddle checked if she were mine. Lovely mare
