Flower had quite a slow winter growth-wise, and for a long time, she seemed to stick at around the same height. I - rather naively - thought that maybe she'd got most of her growing out of the way early on, and that while the little 14.2hh that I'd asked Mary for might not have materialised, we'd nonetheless get something not too far over the 15hh mark.
Unfortunately, Flower had other plans, and since the first hint of spring this year, she has been determinedly growing upwards. She now makes her poor mum look really rather small in comparison, which I've made clear to her is unfair - both to Mary and to myself, who prefers not having as far to fall. I'm now looking for tried-and-tested ways to shrink a horse, so if anyone knows of any, please send them my way!
Here is the teenage delinquent at not-quite three, with my lovely Mary looking really rather unhappy about being dwarfed!
