This is our hacking route after the storm yesterday. Jumpable? Approach at trot or canter?

ETA. I am joking about jumping it.

In the first pic on the right it falls down to a very overgrown stream. A few months ago there was a slip and a small amount fell away. Rather than fixing they put 4 cones out and left it. The road then turned to river with all the rain and this is the result.

I’d say not jump able- looks like tarmac both sides so I’d worry horse would slip.
Is it council owner? Contact them to see when it’s likely to be fixed

Council owned but a wee quiet country road so very low down their list. Annoying thing is it goes to a fair bit of decent hacking. The other way round you skirt a private school and they have now said due to COVID we can’t ride through and put up gates. So means very little hacking now. Really hoping they fix it quickly.

My barefoot hunting cob would probably pop over it with the total lack of respect he gives anything that I consider completely terrifying and impossible. He's like the hero in movies who jumps across a street between two sky scrapers, lands badly, almost falls 100 floors to his death, drags himself up and then then shrugs and says "yeah easy" and isn't traumatised forever.

My mare, on the other hand, would see it, panic, accidentally spook forwards and fall in. She has an odd habit of spooking towards the things she's afraid of.
